ICYMI: Chatham County's E911 Center transitioned to a new Computer Aided Dispatch system last Tuesday. Following the transition, we heard from some of our public safety-focused agencies around Chatham County, who highlighted how the new system benefits their departments. “Two huge components of safety for the police officers and first responders in general: more information, which is huge, and at the end of the day they’re getting it in real time,” said Garden City Police Chief Gilbert Ballard.

More than two DOZEN public safety-focused agencies throughout Chatham County have contributed time and effort into the implementation of a new Computer Aided Dispatch System, which rolled out TODAY.
